DESCRIPTION:Newark Festival is a vibrant and diverse spread of music\, art\
 , food and family entertainment filling the streets and venues of Newark t
 own centre.\n\nBoth the Major Oak Chorus and our quartet Oakie Dokie will 
 be performing at the festival on Friday August 25th-  Major Oak at 11:00 
 am and Oakie Dokie at 1:00 pm and also at 3:00pm. \n\nThe festival kicks 
 off on Friday 25th August with a family focused day of free events includi
 ng a main stage in the Market Place with street performers\, interactive w
 orkshops and Samba parades. Saturday sees a free entry multi genre music f
 estival over multiple stages in local town centre venues with street art\,
  food and entertainment galore throughout the town. On Sunday evening enjo
 y an intimate concert in the spectacular setting of Newark Castle grounds.
  Bank Holiday Monday\, also in Newark Castle grounds\, sees more free fami
 ly entertainment including the annual Brass Band Explosion concert. The ev
 ening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks finale at Newark Castle.\
