    Description: Newark Festival
    Newark Festival is a vibrant and diverse spread of music, art, food and family entertainment filling the streets and venues of Newark town centre.

    Both the Major Oak Chorus and our quartet Oakie Dokie will be performing at the festival on Friday August 25th-  Major Oak at 11:00 am and Oakie Dokie at 1:00 pm and also at 3:00pm. 

    The festival kicks off on Friday 25th August with a family focused day of free events including a main stage in the Market Place with street performers, interactive workshops and Samba parades. Saturday sees a free entry multi genre music festival over multiple stages in local town centre venues with street art, food and entertainment galore throughout the town. On Sunday evening enjoy an intimate concert in the spectacular setting of Newark Castle grounds. Bank Holiday Monday, also in Newark Castle grounds, sees more free family entertainment including the annual Brass Band Explosion concert. The evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks finale at Newark Castle.
