The Major Oak Chorus is an A Capella male chorus. We are proud members of the British Association of Barbershop Singers.
Based in Nottingham, we are comprised of around 30 ordinary men from all walks of life who are united in our love of music and singing.
What we enjoy doing most of all is performing, and you'll find us out and about in the community at events throughout the year, as well as at the annual national competition where we have finished as high as sixth in the UK..
Our "Learn To Sing" course which started on Tuesday September 5th where we teach interested men to sing two songs in 6 weekly sessions completely free of charge so that they can experience A Cappella singing in a large group is progressing well, with one guy already learning a song and singing it (very well) in quartet.
